Yves Saint Laurent said it best, “Fashions change, style is eternal”. Fashions have come and gone and come back again since July 1990, when über super model Kate Moss graced her first magazine cover, The Face (above). She came on the scene at 16 years old and has been wowing us for years with her bohemian-chic style. The British model has won countless “Best Dressed” awards in the last 20 years, which is no surprise. She has surely learned a thing or two about style from campaigns for Calvin Klein, Versace, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton, walking international runways for Chanel, Chloe, and Christian Dior, and over 300 plus magazine covers.

Bohemian-chic is probably the best way to describe Kate Moss’s style, but her style is also glamorous, edgy, minimalist, and clean. It takes a pro to incorporate several styles of dressing into one look and make it work. Moss does just that all the time: Fine fur coats with skinny jeans and rugged industrial boots. Motorcycle leather jackets with silk tops, cropped pants, and patent leather stiletto heels. Statement scarves, boots, handbags, and sunglasses! Chic dresses with minimal accessories and simple hair. Her revered style has inspired many other young style icons like Sienna Miller, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Rachel Bilson.

Moss is also admired for her stellar career. She is one of the most successful supermodels of all time. Her career started on a high 20 years ago and she has managed to stay on top. In 1993 she became an international household name with the famous Calvin Klein Obsession for Men advertisements. That same year she signed on for a Versace campaign and graced the March cover of British Vogue. Other notable accomplishments include being the face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle fragrance in 2004, and also landing campaigns for Missoni and Burberry. In 2005 Moss was a guest editor for the December issue of French Vogue. 2006 was a huge year for Moss. She landed numerous campaigns including Christian Dior, Roberto Cavalli, Long Champ, and, Stella McCartney. British Glamour crowned her “World’s Best Dressed Woman”, and she made Vanity Fair’s International Best Dressed List. In 2007 the business savvy Moss launched her super successful collection with the hip British department store Top Shop. It’s no wonder in 2009 Forbes magazine listed her as one of the world’s highest paid supermodels! Moss has already begun to keep the ball rolling for 2010 with the renewal of her contract with Just Cavalli.
